Bannockburn Vineyards of Victoria’s Geelong region was established by the late Stuart Hooper back in in 1974; his vision was to create a vineyard that would produce Australian wine of a quality to emulate the great wines of France. Bannockburn continues to realise Hooper’s vision under winemaker Matthew Holmes who commenced making wine at Bannockburn in 2015.

A Sauvignon Blanc that is afforded plenty of skilled winemaking attention, the 2021 Bannockburn Sauvignon Blanc opens with subtle oak influence alongside the classic varietal notes of green peas, grapefruit and spice on the nose. Full flavoured with plenty of fruit vibrancy and lively acid, this has a lovely texture derived from lees contact. A top line Sauvignon Blanc that delivers a level of class and complexity rarely associated with this variety in Australia.
